We love living in Miami. It's a very special place because it has people from all over the world. Also there is water, it's sunny, there is art and exhibitions and restaurants - what more could you ask?

I met Miranda in Indonesia, in the airport at Jakarta. She was modelling, I was coming to do a concert and we ran into each other. That was 23 years ago and I won't say it was love at first sight but she was a very beautiful girl who I invited to the concert. Then she went back to Holland but we kept in touch and I invited her to come and see me in Miami.

She was not getting on very well with her boyfriend at that time, so she came over and never left. And I hope she won't ever leave because I wouldn't be able to make sense of my life without her.

When I met Miranda, I was a bit of a crazy guy and it wasn't easy to understand me. But she changed me with love. It's all about love - it isn't difficult - and the result is that we have our incredible kids.

When you have children at the age of 25, it's an emotional thing. But when you do it for the second time, later in life, it's proof of the respect you have for a woman. People think it takes energy to have children when you're my age but the opposite is true - they give me energy. The three older ones grew up in Miami, too.

After the divorce, they stayed with their mother. But when my father was kidnapped by Basque separatists, Isabel agreed that I should take our children for their own safety.

En absoluto. Soy un vividor total. Vivo profundísimamente mis disgustos y mis alegrías.

Esto... Fui mal padre entre comillas... ¿Qué es un buen padre? Un buen padre es el que se sacrifica, está con sus hijos, les da el biberón, cambia pañales... O sea, que no he sido un buen padre en lo doméstico, pero sí en el estímulo vital. He mantenido muchas conversaciones con mis hijos mayores: Enrique, Julio e Isabel. Charlas fuertes, ambiciosas, competitivas... Mis hijos son la hostia. Enrique es un campeón distante, Julio es rápido y un divino, e Isabel está feliz... Los tres son valientes y sensatos.

Sin duda. El estímulo de la mujer en mí vida ha sido muy profundo. He aprendido muchísimo de ellas.

Nunca cometí el error de no ser generoso en el amor. Y eso me permitió muchos amores, pero ninguno comparable al que tengo con mi mujer. Ella es viento más fuerte y más liviano. Nunca antes había yo flotado tanto. Nunca había estado tan vivo...

Sí, soy libre. Y lo soy porque ya no juzgo sin saber. Ésa es la libertad mayor.  Con el tiempo prefiero los síes a los noes. Yo nací con el no y ahora estoy viviendo desde el sí.

No. Es inaceptable. El que diga que lo asume bien es un gilipollas. Al tener de joven un problema de salud tan grave como el que padecí, mi cuerpo envejece más rápido y todo requiere más esfuerzo según pasa el tiempo. Y es algo que no puedo controlar. Por otro lado, ahora tengo un conocimiento mejor y mayor de la vida y soy más justo conmigo.

No tengo claro si leganlizando las sustancias se evita el problema de la adicción profunda. Quizá se conseguiría lo contrario. No soy partidario de nada que limite la libertad del individuo.

Porquetienemenos aplausos de los que merece en el Real Madrid. Es un jugador superclase. Sale al campo a dejarse la vida. Es injusto juzgarle por lo que gana. Debemos juzgarle por lo que es.

Me encanta Mourinho. Porque en muchos casos no sabemos vincular nuestra emoción con nuestro cerebro. En los países meridionales es muy complicado ser alguien largamente querido y respetado, a no ser que te vean muy lejano. Tenemos que aprender a aplaudir más en vida. Los españoles aplaudimos mejor a los muertos...
